Year 1 Fitness

Today we went out onto the field with all of the Year 1 classes for a run.

We ran around the field two times.

It was tricky but we did our best.

Kelly Sports

On Monday we had our first session with Kelly Sports.
Coach Cameron was awesome!
He gave us some instructions and then...

We played a game of Pirate tag!

We played a relay game which taught us how to run fast.

We played a game of Fruit Salad which was great fun.

Poor Anna bumped her eye on someone's head as she fell over and look at her colourful black eye!!!
What a brave girl!!!

Whole School Assembly

We went to the first Whole School Assembly of Term 2.

Ethan received the first Self-Belief Certificate of the term.
Great job Ethan, Well done. We are very proud of you.

Bee Bot

On Friday, Mrs Burge introduced Bee Bot to the class.

Bee Bot is a little robot that we program with instructions and when we press go, it moves how we have programmed it,

We gave Bee Bot instructions to send him to one of our friends in the circle. He was very clever at following our instructions.

We can't wait to use Bee Bot again!

Parachute Fun

This week, we have been using the parachute

We bounced balls, bean bags and even Kevin the Kiwi on the parachute.

We did Maths, singing and we even swapped places by running under the parachute.
It was so much fun.

We even sat down, pulled the parachute down our backs and under our bottoms so we were under the parachute like a dome and sang songs.
What a lot of fun!

Visitors in Week 1

Alexander and Borayr came to visit Room 9.

They will be starting school in Week 3.

Alexander M and Alexander W were so excited to meet each other!

They even drew pictures on the whiteboards together!

Borayr enjoyed creating the train track and playing with the trains.

Welcome Andrew and Matthew

We had two extra newbies start in Room 9 on Tuesday!

Welcome Andrew and Matthew who have just moved to New Zealand from South Africa.
