Koru Whanau Poetry Festival

Today was our Koru Whanau Poetry Festival.

Three people from each class were chosen to recite their poems in front of parents and the Koru Whanau!

Mrs Venville and Mrs Knofflock were the judges and we all sat and watched our friends perform.

Matthew, Paris and Sophie did a super job reciting their poems from Room 9a. Mrs Burge was very proud.

Vienna, Ben and Arianna also did a fantastic job reciting their poems from Room 9. Mrs Edmonds was very proud.

Mrs Venville and Mrs Knofflock presented the certificates to the children.

Look at those proud faces! Well done guys!

What an afternoon! Matthew, Paris, Sophie, Vienna, Ben and Arianna did Room 9 and 9a proud!

Welcome to Rangi and Alex who join Room 9a for this week

We may only have you for a week boys but you are already part of our class.

What a way to start school, meeting Clifford the big red dog and Geronimo Stilton! Rangi was excited to think he would be in a class with these two famous book characters!!

We will miss you when you move to Room 23 after the holidays.

The book fair is open every morning and every afternoon next week if you would like to go and buy some books.

International Pirate Day

On Thursday, it was International Pirate Day and the teachers dressed up as pirates!

Mrs V and Mrs Clyde looked fabulous!

Mrs Edmonds, Mrs Burge, Mrs Clyde and Mrs Harding had a lot of fun saying
'Ar me hearties! ya gunna walk the plank!'

Fun with numbers, shapes and counting

We love doing Maths in Room 9!

Look at all of these numbers - Numbers, numbers everywhere!

Patterns and shapes fill the room too!
