Lydia Burge Came to room 9!

One of Mrs Burge's twin daughters, Lydia came to help out in Room 9 on Friday as she had a teacher only day!

Mrs Burge and Mrs Edmonds don't know what we would have done without her! She helped sooooo much!

Thank you Lydia!!!!! You worked hard for that certificate!

Father's Day Breakfast

On Friday morning we had the Father's Day Breakfast. 

Children got to eat a yummy breakfast with their Dad, Grandad or special person and then they made some paper aeroplanes and had a competition to see who could fly their plane the furthest! 

 Madalyn had a great time flying her plan with her Dad.

Jake was so lucky to have Father's Day breakfast in his first week of school!

Vienna and Laela were super excited, look at those pancakes!!!

Cody was tucking into cereal and Grandad had yummy weetbix! What awesome family memories!

Matthew and Andrew had a lovely time with Daddy too!

Jake was ready to beat his big sister Molly and Daddy in the plane competition!

Everyone was so competitive, especially the Dads!!!!!!

Jake started in Room 9a this week until the end of the term.

We will miss you when you move into Room 23 in Term 4. It's like you've been with us forever Jake!

Fractions

We have been learning about fractions

whole, half and quarter

To finish off, Room 9a made pizza and we cut the whole pizza into two equal parts = half

Mrs Harding also cut the pizza into four equal parts - quarters.

 Sophie enjoyed tasting her quarter of a pizza!

Te Reo with Mrs Harding

Today Room 9a had their first official Te Reo lesson with Mrs Harding. 

We had such a lot of fun learning the Hokey Tokey in Te Reo.

Buddy Class Reading

We had a lovely time Reading library books and books from our book boxes with our Room 5 buddies today.
