Today we had a visitor to Room 9, it was a garden gnome called Gnomeo!
Gnomeo helped us to learn how to play a new maths game called Ice-Cream Number Match.
We had tpo count the spots on the ice-cream and match it to the number on the ice cream cone.
We ordered the numbers 1-10.
Gnomeo also taught us a new Maths game where we had to match the top and the bottom of ice-blocks.
The top of the ice block has the number and a dice showing the same amount of spots.
On the bottom of the ice blocks, there is a tens frame showing the number of spots and a tally chart showing the number too. Once we had matched them, we put them in order 1-10 and we counted forwards and backwards.
Maths is fun. Thank you Gnomeo for helping us learn how to count to 10.
Can we share this to the child grandparents ?
